Registration will open at 12:00 PM on Monday, March 24, and our kickoff will begin at 3:00 PM. The final plenary session will conclude on Thursday at 1:30 PM.
Travel to/from Charlotte
Please plan to arrive in Charlotte in enough time to register and be present for the opening session on Monday at 3:00 PM. The final plenary session will conclude on Thursday at 1:30 PM. We recommend scheduling your departure no earlier than 3:30 PM on Thursday, March 27 to allow for sufficient airport transit time.
✈️ Flying
Most flights will come through Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT.) Some smaller regional airlines may come through nearby Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA.)
Travel Time: approximately 21 minutes
🚙 Driving/Parking
If you plan to drive to the venue, parking is available for $15/day for self-park or $26/day for valet.
🚉 Train
If you plan to arrive via train, you will arrive at the CLT station.
Travel Time: approximately 17 minutes
🚌 Bus
If you plan on arriving via bus, the Charlotte Bus Center is located at 518 W 4Th St, Charlotte, NC 28202.
Travel Time: approximately 20 minutes
Please note that re:power will NOT reimburse for ground transportation costs. We encourage you to plan ahead and consider using the most cost-effective means of getting to and from your point of arrival.
Check-in Instructions
To check in for Camp re:power, proceed to the designated Check-in desk located on the Ground Floor Main Lobby upon arrival. There will be staff to help direct you to the appropriate location. Check-in/registration will take place from 12:00–3:00 PM. Please upload your negative COVID Test and your Risk Acknowledgement & Liability Waiver form before arrival to receive your conference badge. If you arrive after registration ends, please check in with the Help Desk.
Lodging & Rooming
You will have a room reserved at the UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Check-in is on Monday, March 24, and checkout is on Thursday, March 27. The rooms have been pre-paid as part of your registration fees; however, you must put a credit card down for incidentals. Each room is single occupancy with a single or double bed and a private bathroom unless requested to share with another participant. You will receive a confirmation number for your room on March 10.
Hotel Check-In: 4:00 PM
Hotel Checkout: 12:00 PM
Check-in at the hotel begins at 4:00 PM. There may be rooms available to check in when you arrive, but if you do not have a room ready, there will be a place to store your luggage in the Conference Center. Checkout is at noon. There will be a place to store your luggage on Thursday.

Whova
You will receive an email to the address on file from Whova. This is the online platform that you will use for our event. If you do not receive the email directly from Whova, you can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. This app can be accessed via mobile phone or desktop. We highly recommend downloading the Whova app to stay updated on Camp re:power activities, connect with other participants, and easily access documents and other materials referenced during Camp.

All of your dietary requirements have been received, but if you have other special food requests (gluten- or lactose-free, vegan, kosher, etc.) that you may not have included in your registration, please contact camp@repower.org ASAP.
Ramadan
We recognize that some participants will be observing Ramadan during Camp re:power, and we want to ensure that you have the accommodations you need. If you will be observing Ramadan, please let us know by emailing camp@repower.org with the subject line: “Observing Ramadan”. We are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all participants and will do our best to make the necessary arrangements to support you.
Spanish Interpretation
We are pleased to announce that we will provide live Spanish translation for participants needing the service. If you require Spanish translation, please email camp@repower.org with the subject line: Interpretation Services Needed or Se Necesitan Servicios de Interpretación
For non-Spanish speakers, please expect that during certain breakouts in Camp, you may be asked to wear an interpretation headset to allow you to understand our Spanish-speaking participants. We ask for grace and solidarity as we seek to make this a meaningful and engaging space for monolingual Spanish speakers.
Community Care
At Camp re:power 2025, we will have Community Care & Safety in place, which will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and restorative environment for all participants. We will offer a Wellness and Prayer Room and other offerings such as altar spaces and holistic practices to promote restoration and grounding.
Safety & Security
We are excited to share that we are working with TaylorSpace, run by JaNaé Taylor, to help build our community care & safety team and practices at Camp. We are happy to share this memo which shares more information on how we will keep each other safe and cared for at Camp re:power. While we are excited for you to share news of your participation in the conference, we ask that, for the safety and security of all attendees, you not publicly share the exact location of the Camp re:power venue and hotel until the conference has closed on Thursday. Our Community Care and Safety Team will provide more information in the coming weeks on additional measures we’re taking to create a safe and community-centered space at Camp re:power.
COVID Protocol

For Camp re:power, ALL in-person attendees MUST:
- Download, sign, and return re:power’s liability waiver prior to attending the convening.
- Upload a negative COVID test within 48 hours PRIOR to attending the convening.
- Agree to daily testing before attending the training each day. Tests will be provided to participants.
We will collect documentation before the training using an online portal. Please use the buttons below to access the necessary documents and forms.
DO NOT attend if any of the following is true for you or anyone you have been exposed to:
- Within 14 days before the training, you have tested positive or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
- Within 14 days before the training, you have traveled to any international territory identified by federal or applicable state or local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19.
- Within 48 hours before the training, you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g. a fever of 100.4 °F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the CDC).
Daily Testing and reporting results
- Positive test results must be reported immediately to camp@repower.org, and the participant must follow isolation protocols as per health guidelines.
- For trainings that last longer than one day, attendees who test positive will not be allowed to return to the training. We will offer reasonable support around lodging and travel logistics.
- On-site Testing: If you begin to feel sick during the training, additional testing will be available. If the result is positive, you will not be readmitted to the training and we will need to disclose the result to the group.
- For attendees who test positive before the training begins, any training fees paid in advance can be applied toward a future re:power training, or request a refund. Unfortunately we cannot offer credit towards a future training or refunds for attendees who test positive during a training.
All test results will be kept confidential and only shared with relevant personnel on a need-to-know basis. re:power will comply with all applicable privacy laws and regulations.
Other Recommendations
Masks: To limit COVID-19 exposure, we ask that participants wear masks while traveling to the workshop and whenever they are in indoor settings outside the workshop space (i.e. restaurants, stores, etc). Within the workshop space, mask-wearing is not required but is strongly encouraged. Trainers will wear masks when not actively facilitating and will unmask when speaking to the full group. Microphones for amplification may be offered, based on availability at the venue.
COVID-19 vaccination: We strongly recommend that all attendees are fully vaccinated and boosted to help protect themselves and others from the spread
Training Attire
Attire for our time together is casual. We want you to be your lovely selves. During our time together, temperatures in Charlotte will be in the mid-60s. Dress in layers and prepare for inside buildings to be a little chilly. We often don’t have access to adjust the temperature, so layers are essential.
