Overview
Responsible for managing and maintaining re:power’s brand identity through design. This role is involved in implementing the organization’s communications and marketing strategy, and supporting the development and management of digital infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Manage and maintain re:power’s brand identity through design
- Integrate audience-specific design trends into design work, and evolve re:power’s brand over time.
- Use design to translate complex ideas into digestible, shareable messages for re:power’s various audiences.
- Lead and manage the production of high-quality creative assets to promote the brand, campaigns, and initiatives of the organization through key channels—social media, websites, marketing materials, merchandise, etc.
- Design responsive social media, email, and web experiences for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Work with re:power’s Strategy and Engagement, Executive, and Program teams to create materials and collateral that support team and organizational objectives.
- Manage the organization (storage and security) of all design assets.
Operationalize re:power’s communications and marketing strategy
- In partnership with the Director of Communications, implement integrated strategic communications plans to advance re:power’s mission and broaden awareness of priorities and programs, which include reimagining and (re)designing re:power’s media strategy, website, and online communications.
- In collaboration with the Director of Communications, develop electronic updates, press releases, statements, and other online communications and other materials in support of re:power’s mission.
Support the development and management of re:power’s digital infrastructure and internal workflows
- Manage data infrastructure development and maintenance within EveryAction CRM.
- Support the implementation of new digital platforms including but not limited to Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and community management systems.
- In collaboration with the Managing Director of Strategy & Engagement, evaluate and design workflows and processes within the organization.
- Using design methodologies, facilitate workshops with stakeholders to brainstorm and explore new ideas, and design solutions.
Other
- Remote work is permissible. Travel required to unanticipated worksites nationwide. Travel constitutes up to 10% of time.
Required Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in design, visual arts, fine arts or a related field and 2 years of experience.
Experience must include:
- Experience in design processes, communications, brand and graphic design, media engagement, social media and website management, communications operational know-how, and strategic thinking;
- Experience implementing brand and communication standards;
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Every Action (or similar CRM software), WordPress, and basic HTML;
- Experience analyzing and addressing the structural impacts of policies, practices and decisions on different racial groups, and with work to eliminate inequities;
- New media marketing experience that includes digital, social media, and online outreach;
- Deep project management experience involving handling competing time-sensitive priorities.
