COVID-19 Protocol

We are monitoring the latest COVID-19 developments and working to ensure that our in-person trainings and convenings are as safe and accessible as possible. We are following CDC guidelines and will adjust our COVID protocol as needed.

As of May 20, 2022, our requirements for attending in-person trainings are as follows:

ALL in-person attendees MUST:

  • Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster
  • Within 48 hours before the training, provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result
  • Sign and return re:power’s liability waiver

We will collect documentation before the training using an online portal.

DO NOT attend if any of the following is true for you or anyone you have been exposed to:

  • Within 14 days before the training, you have tested positive or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
  • Within 14 days before the training, you have traveled to any international territory identified by federal or applicable state or local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19
  • Within 48 hours before the training, you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g. a fever of 100.4F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)

Other Requirements

Masks: To limit COVID exposure, we ask that participants wear masks while traveling to the workshop and whenever they are in indoor settings outside the workshop space (i.e. restaurants, stores, etc). Within the workshop space, mask-wearing is not required but is strongly encouraged. Trainers will wear masks when not actively facilitating and will unmask when speaking to the full group. Microphones for amplification may be offered, based on availability at the venue.

On-Site Testing: If you begin to feel sick during the training, we will have rapid antigen tests on-site for you to take. Please be advised that if the result is positive, you will not be re-admitted to the training and we will need to disclose the result to the group. We will offer a refund and other reasonable support around travel back home or quarantining.

FAQ

When is my last chance to receive the vaccine?

Eligible in-person attendees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 14 days prior to arriving at the training. For vaccines that require two shots (Moderna and Pfizer), please plan accordingly as the doses need to be administered one month apart.

What kind of tests are acceptable for proof of a negative result?

Both rapid antigen and PCR tests will be accepted.

When do I need to take a COVID-19 test?

You must send proof of a negative test result to re:power within 48 hours of joining the training. In some places, this may mean getting tested 4-5 days ahead of the training. Please plan accordingly.

What if I am unable to be vaccinated?

We require at least two doses of the Moderna or Pfizer, or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in order to attend our in-person trainings. While we understand that there are many reasons why our communities cannot / may choose to not get the COVID-19 vaccine, unfortunately, for the safety of our staff, participants and trainers, we are unable to make exemptions to this requirement. We have many virtual training offerings, however, and we hope you can join us on the screen instead.

Will my registration fee be refunded if I am unable to attend due to complications of COVID-19?

For WoC & other long-term cohorts: Because the registration fee covers three months of the cohort, including virtual sessions and two in-person convenings, we will be unable to issue refunds if you miss one convening.

If you need to cancel travel, please call the airline or other travel provider directly to ask for a refund.

For public trainings that are shorter, like GRO or DOS: Please reach out to us at info@repower.org to discuss your situation and we will work with you to find a solution.

What if I start feeling sick during the training?

If you begin to show symptoms during the training, we will have rapid antigen tests on-site for you to take. If the result is negative, you are welcome to rejoin the group but we may ask that you take extra precautions (masking, more frequent hand washing, etc).

If the result is positive, you will not be admitted back to the training. We will need to disclose the result to the group, and we will offer you a refund and other reasonable support around traveling back home or quarantining.
