• Responsible for Managing Programs with execution of public programming, trainer recruitment and development, and curriculum design.

An organizer or movement that inspires me:

Rigoberta Mechu, The Zapatista Army of National Liberation, and Oscar López Rivera are inspirational to the work that I do. The unbreakable spirit of those who face hardship with unwavering hope ignites a deep sense of inspiration for me, including the Palestinian people.

At the office:

• Manages scheduling and coordinates travel arrangements for the ED
• Supports organizational engagement with re:power’s Board of Directors
• Manages staff and stakeholders engagement, as it relates to the ED’s office

An organizer or movement that inspires me:

Tony Lewis Jr. and his fight for reuniting families affected by mass incarceration in Washington, DC. Through community and youth outreach, he’s been able to instill hope and inspire a different way of getting things done.

At the office:

• Manages the Progressive Governance Academy (PGA), supporting local and state elected officials to collaboratively govern with their communities to create change in everyday people’s lives.
• Builds partnerships with elected officials, organizations, and people who are dedicated to equity and justice for marginalized communities

An organizer or movement that inspires me:

I am inspired by student organizers participating in campus protests against Palestinian genocide. The students participating in these protests are risking their bodies and education in order to give a voice to people who desperately need us to stand up for them.

At the office:

• Leads the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy rooted in re:power’s core mission to advance our impact and build our brand.
• Oversees the promotions of programs, manages digital engagement, and elevates the Executive Director’s profile.
• Manages ongoing media requests and public engagements, develops new media projects, and ensures alignment of internal communications and brand strategy.

An organizer or movement that inspires me:

As a Latina, I am inspired by the California farmworker movement’s fight for better working conditions. I am especially energized by the leadership of Dolores Huertas to empower and train community leaders that continue this work.

At the office:

• Handles key aspects of event planning and logistics to ensure we can deliver high quality and impactful trainings
• Work alongside the Program & Operations team to improve systems, structures, and processes

An organizer or movement that inspires me:

I am inspired by the food justice movement, that is working to dismantle oppressive systems in every aspect of our food system and pushing us to create a world where our food system centers sustainability and equity.

At the office:

• Provide overall administrative and database support to the Program Team
• Support development of partnership relationships and training through calendaring and task management

An organizer or movement that inspires me:

K Agbebiyi’s organizing around disability justice, mutual aid, and PIC abolition has taught me so much about the interconnectedness of liberatory organizing. They inspire me to value and center accountability, organization, and structure in movement spaces.
