• Guides internal systems and operations for the entire Development & Communications team
• Serves as the team administrator by keeping the team on track, anticipating needs, and proactively providing information

An organizer or movement that inspires me:

The movement to end money bond was where I found my first movement home. I am inspired by the organizers that work to end mass incarceration and address the root causes of socio-economic and racial inequities within our legal system.

At the office:

• Runs the Progressive Governance Academy (PGA), supporting local and state elected officials to co-govern with their communities to create change in everyday people’s lives
• Builds partnerships with elected officials, organizations, and people who are dedicated to equity and justice for marginalized communities

An organizer or movement that inspires me:

The reproductive justice movement inspires me and is where I found my first movement home, when I was working in a reproductive rights organization.

At the office:

• Runs Women of Color Leadership programming and curates experiences with and for women of color to inspire, cultivate, and connect women of color across the nation
• Supports partners who strive to build leadership capacity of women of color within their organizations

An organizer or movement that inspires me:

The evolution of black women’s impact through time in all areas of social justice across the globe. Black women have been at the forefront of many fights for justice and I am proud and humbled to be a descendant of this legacy.

At the office:

• Runs Civic Engagement and Electoral Justice programming 
• Supports organizers and organizations to engage in elections at the local, state, and federal level as one of many base building tools to build political power

An organizer or movement that inspires me:

The Black Radical Tradition because of its defiance of racial capitalism and colonialism. I love the rich history, culture, intellect, Afrofuturistic optimism, action-oriented rigor, and aesthetic of the tradition and its influence in today’s movement for Black liberation.

At the office:

• Runs our movement building programming, supporting leaders and organizations in building power for radical change
• Builds partnerships with groups interested in building capacity for their leaders and members

An organizer or movement that inspires me:

My background is in youth organizing—so youth-led movements, for immigrant rights, climate justice, racial justice, ending gun violence and more. Young people bring the energy, the courage, and the vision we need to imagine and fight for a new world.

At the office:

• Leads a suite of programming for digital and data practitioners to build power in BIPOC communities
• Develop partnerships with movement leaders and funders seeking to provide digital and technology training and support

An organizer or movement that inspires me:

Huey P. Newton, co-founder of the Black Panther Party, inspires me because his political analysis fueled his ability to boldly imagine the systems and structures needed in his community and then create them.
